Death and the jubilee

Early one morning in 1897 the corpse of a man with no head or hands is dragged out of the Thames near London Bridge. There are few clues to his identity and the police call on Lord Francis Powerscourt. Soon his investigation leads Lord Francis to a mysterious mansion in Oxfordshire.
